San José de Ocoa residents demand street paving

Residents of the Santa Clara and Nuevo Amanecer sectors in San José de Ocoa are demanding the immediate paving of their streets. Community leaders Soribel Castillo and Angel Antuna reported that the unpaved roads turn into mud during rainy periods and create excessive dust during droughts.

Local neighborhood association presidents expressed frustration with public works officials, stating they are tired of empty promises and measurements without action. They have threatened to organize a protest involving banners directed at the president if they do not receive a definitive response soon.
