Regional updates: Mexican coal exports, religious festivals, and political shifts

Various regional developments are occurring across Latin America. In Tamaulipas, Mexico, Governor Américo Villarreal launched the first shipment of El Bernal charcoal to Texas, a project supported by Economy Secretary Ninfa Cantú. Additionally, new federal regulations in Mexico will prohibit cell phone use in primary and secondary schools starting in October to improve concentration.

In Peru, preparations are underway for the month of October, marked by the religious devotion to the Señor de los Milagros, which includes large-scale processions in Lima. Meanwhile, in Bolivia, political tensions persist regarding the influence of the Chapare region and recent U.S. State Department actions involving the revocation of visas for several government officials.

In Guatemala, the city is preparing for the solemn procession of the Virgen del Rosario on October 4. The event will feature a nine-hour route through Guatemala City's historic center, beginning with a mass presided over by Archbishop Gonzalo de Villa.
