Grupo Municipal Socialista criticizes urban safety delays

The Grupo Municipal Socialista is criticizing the local government for failing to address urgent safety concerns in urban areas. In one instance, the group denounced the delay in the emergency demolition of a building on Calle Honda. Although the Sociedad Casco Antiguo declared the demolition urgent three months ago due to structural exhaustion and risks to pedestrians, the building remains standing because necessary measures to preserve the facade have not been implemented.

Additionally, the socialist group has raised alarms regarding Calle Méjico, a road that saw a fatal accident last year. Councilor Gemma Mínguez stated that the administration has failed to implement security measures or traffic regulations despite previous reports from the Local Police recommending intervention. The group claims that the lack of action has left the high-traffic area, which serves residential and commercial zones, in a state of neglect.
