San José to host temporary native tree installation
A temporary installation titled ‘Bosque prestado’ (Borrowed Forest) will bring native trees and species adapted to the Central Valley to the heart of San José, Costa Rica. From October 10 to October 25, dozens of trees will occupy the main entrance of the Museums of the Central Bank of Costa Rica.
The project aims to bring nature closer to urban residents and encourage reflection on how the city shares territory with other species. The installation is a collaboration between the National Force and Light Company (CNFL) and the Municipality of San José, utilizing trees linked to environmental protection and ecological restoration programs. The setup is being managed by cultural producer and landscaper Esteban Bonilla, with technical support from Viveros La Bonita. The experience is designed to be free and open to the public, utilizing the October rainy season as a thematic element of the installation.
