San Jose police arrest man suspected in series of armed robberies

San Jose police arrested 35-year-old Andrew Fiddler on July 21, 2026, in connection with a string of at least six armed robberies targeting businesses in the South Bay area.

The robberies, which took place between June 18 and July 20, involved various locations including smoke shops, convenience stores, and motels. Specific incidents occurred on Camden Avenue, Stevens Creek Boulevard, Blossom Hill Road, Fontaine Road, and Alvin Road.

Detectives utilized the department’s Real Time Intelligence Center and automated license plate readers to identify the suspect. Following a search of an associated residence, police obtained evidence linking Fiddler to the crimes. He has been booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of armed robbery.
