San Jose Sharks remain the only NHL team without jersey ads
The San Jose Sharks are currently the only NHL franchise without an advertisement on their jersey. While the league introduced jersey advertising in the 2022-23 season to increase revenue following the pandemic-shortened 2020-21 season, the Sharks have maintained this distinction despite having ads on their helmets.
On the ice, the Sharks are undergoing a rebuilding phase focused on young talent. Led by rookie Macklin Celebrini, the team showed significant improvement throughout the season, moving from a losing start to contending for a playoff spot late in the year, ultimately finishing just four points behind the Los Angeles Kings.
