USC announces game day changes and new host for football season

As the college football season approaches, the University of Southern California (USC) has announced several changes for its home opener at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The Trojans will implement “game day enhancements,” which include the introduction of new concessions such as souvenir popcorn buckets and themed promotions.

Notably, the team is replacing longtime in-stadium host DJ Mal-Ski with KTLA reporter Hayley Elwood. While Mal-Ski will no longer serve as the host, sources indicate he will continue to manage the music at the Coliseum. Additionally, head coach Lincoln Riley has announced that USC will return to a permanent captain model this season, moving away from the rotating captain system used over the previous two years.

USC is scheduled to face San Jose State in its upcoming matchup. The Spartans are preparing for a game against Eastern Michigan on September 4.
