Buenos Aires province reaches wage agreement with state workers

The government of Buenos Aires province has reached a salary agreement with the majority of state workers under Law 10.430. The proposal includes a 6% increase split into two installments: 3% in October and 3% in November, both calculated based on September salaries. Major unions, including ATE, UPCN, and FEGGEPBA, have accepted the terms, which also include a commitment to reopen negotiations in December 2026.

The provincial executive cited a complex economic and financial situation, noting a decline in tax collection and a reduction in non-automatic transfers from the national government as limiting factors for higher wage offers.

Parallel negotiations are ongoing with teaching unions organized under the Frente de Unidad Docente Bonaerense (FUDB). While some organizations like SUTEBA, SADOP, and AMET have signaled acceptance of a similar 6% increase, others, such as FEB, are still conducting member assemblies to determine their stance.
