San Juan community offers free mindful walking sessions
The Comunidad Corazón Valiente in San Juan, Argentina, is organizing free mindful walking sessions designed to promote mental and physical well-being. Originally started by a group of retired teachers, the initiative has grown into a community that welcomes participants of all ages and physical conditions.
Led by coordinator Rosita Pósito, the sessions take place every Monday and Friday from 17:00 to 18:30, meeting near the intersection of 25 de Mayo and Las Heras. The program focuses on “mindful walking,” which encourages participants to silence their minds, connect with their bodies, and pay attention to their surroundings and breathing to reduce stress and isolation.
The group aims to expand its reach beyond its founding members to include younger people and men. Future plans for the community include incorporating various workshops and additional outdoor wellness activities.
