San Juan Cruise Port undergoes structural rehabilitation

Norberto Negrón Díaz, executive director of the Puerto Rico Ports Authority (APPR), recently inspected construction progress at the San Juan Cruise Port. The visit focused on structural rehabilitation works being conducted through a public-private partnership with Global Port Holding.

Key activities included observing divers performing essential structural interventions to strengthen docks and meet cruise line operational requirements. A primary focus of the rehabilitation is the mooring dolphin at Pier 4, an infrastructure component that has been out of service for over seven years. The project aims to restore this infrastructure to service and bolster confidence in Puerto Rico as a cruise destination.
