San Juan de Dios España serves 2.6 million people in 2025

San Juan de Dios España has released its 2025 operational data, highlighting its extensive reach in healthcare, social action, research, and education. Globally, the institution operates 628 centers with 73,291 employees, serving nearly 10 million people annually across five continents.

In Spain, the organization manages 80 centers and employs nearly 18,000 people, providing care to more than 2.6 million individuals. Its services span hospital care, mental health, disability support, elderly care, social exclusion, and international cooperation. The institution has also launched over 40 new projects in the last four years to address emerging social and health challenges.

Research efforts through the Fundación San Juan de Dios and the Fundació de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu involve over 1,100 researchers working on 712 projects. In 2025, these researchers produced 966 scientific publications. Additionally, the organization allocated approximately 30 million euros to 545 socio-sanitary projects in Spain, benefiting over 125,000 people. In the educational sector, nearly 3,200 students were enrolled in 2025 across university campuses in Madrid, Catalonia, and Andalusia.
