San Juan de la Maguana reopens remodeled Anacaona Municipal Market

The Mayor of San Juan de la Maguana, Lenin de la Rosa, has overseen the reopening of the remodeled Anacaona Municipal Market. The project includes the immediate relocation of merchants into the interior of the facility to clear the surrounding sidewalks and the 4 de Julio street, which had been occupied for several months.

To maintain hygiene and order, the local government has implemented a strict prohibition on using sidewalks for commercial activities. The mayor personally supervised the cubicle assignment process to ensure fairness. Additionally, a proposal has been made to extend the market's closing time to 7:00 p.m. to accommodate citizens after their workdays. The relocation process is expected to be completed by Sunday, September 13, to restore vehicular traffic and clean the area.
