San Juan de Lurigancho: 50 dog tails found near San Carlos station
Approximately 50 dog tails were discovered in a bag and scattered on the ground in front of the San Carlos electric train station in San Juan de Lurigancho (SJL), Peru. The discovery was captured by a bystander and shared on TikTok, sparking widespread outrage regarding animal cruelty.
The remains did not show signs of decomposition, suggesting they had not been at the location for long. Local residents have expressed concerns that the tails may be linked to illegal practices in local restaurants, citing a previous incident in February where over 200 dog tails were found near Jorge Basadre Avenue. Authorities, including the National Police of Peru (PNP), are expected to intervene in the case.
