San Juan del Río hosts historical exhibition and first coffee festival

San Juan del Río is hosting several cultural and economic events. The Universidad Tecnológica de San Juan del Río (UT San Juan) has opened “La Ciudad,” a photographic exhibition featuring historical images from the Municipal Historical Archive. The exhibit commemorates the 495th anniversary of the municipality's foundation and the 40th anniversary of its designation as a Zone of Historical Monuments. The exhibition will remain open to the public until October 2.

Additionally, the municipality will host its first Coffee Festival on September 27 at Jardín Independencia. Organized by the Municipal Economic Development Coordination, the event aims to support local businesses and promote tourism. The festival will feature over 20 local coffee shops and exhibitors, offering musical performances, tastings, and local art sales. The initiative is part of the “Consume Local” program and is expected to attract approximately 2,000 attendees.
