San Juan del Río Mayor addresses local complaints and service issues

Roberto Cabrera Valencia, the municipal president of San Juan del Río, is addressing several local administrative issues. He has initiated working groups to resolve complaints from residents of the San Cayetano neighborhood regarding vibrations and noise allegedly caused by a Kimberly-Clark paper mill. Residents have threatened road closures if a solution is not reached, though the mayor stated both parties show willingness to find a resolution.

Regarding public services, Cabrera acknowledged localized deficiencies in garbage collection caused by vehicle maintenance and route adjustments. He maintained that the service remains over 90 percent efficient and is working to correct these irregularities.

On the political front, Cabrera stated he will not be distracted by the 2027 elections. While maintaining his membership in the Acción Nacional party, he emphasized that his priority is to deliver results for the municipality until the end of his term on September 30, 2027.
