San Juan del Río officials coordinate security and community services
In San Juan del Río, municipal President Roberto Cabrera Valencia has led several initiatives focused on community service and security coordination. The administration recently conducted the 56th edition of the ‘Viernes en Nuevo Espíritu Santo’ program. This community outreach included visual health campaigns, the installation of speed reducers and school crossing signs, and the distribution of trees and clothing. Various municipal departments, including the DIF and the Water and Sewage Board (JAPAM), provided direct citizen services and social assistance.
On the security front, Cabrera Valencia met with Colonel Jorge Jiménez Flores of the 7th Mechanized Regiment to strengthen coordination between the municipal government and the Mexican Army. This meeting aimed to improve institutional cooperation and communication to benefit the region's safety.
Additionally, the municipal president addressed concerns regarding public security spending. Following requests from opposition council members for an audit due to reported discrepancies of over 27 million pesos, Cabrera Valencia stated that fiscalization processes will clarify the figures. He emphasized that the administration remains open to oversight from the Superior Audit of the Federation and the State of Querétaro to ensure transparency.
