San Juan del Río residents demand more security after knife attack and theft

Residents of the Valle Real Residencial housing complex in San Juan del Río have called for increased police presence following two criminal incidents on a Thursday morning.

Around 10:30 a.m., a resident was reportedly followed and attacked with a knife near the complex entrance on the San Pedro Ahuacatlán-La Estancia highway. The victim sustained a wound to the leg and received first aid from security personnel before being transported for medical attention. Additionally, a compact vehicle was reported stolen during the same morning. Local authorities have not yet released information regarding arrests or the motives behind these attacks.
