San Juan del Río to host themed FestiVaqueRun and VaqueRun events

San Juan del Río is preparing for two themed community running events, ‘FestiVaqueRun’ and ‘VaqueRun: La Locura de ser Mamá’, scheduled for August 15 and August 22, 2026. The events are designed as social integration activities rather than traditional competitions, featuring participants running or jogging behind trailers accompanied by live music.

The ‘FestiVaqueRun’ will take place on August 15. Due to high demand, the route has been expanded to 5 kilometers, starting at Parque Paso de los Guzmán and ending at Foro Reto Río. Over 2,400 people have registered, including approximately 600 participants from other states and municipalities. The event will feature live music from Banda Experimental and Los Culpables Norteño.

The ‘VaqueRun’ edition, organized by the digital community ‘La Locura de ser Mamá’, is scheduled for August 22. This 2.5-kilometer route is designed specifically for women and their daughters, aiming to create spaces for recreation and support networks.

Local authorities have announced comprehensive security operations and strategic road closures to ensure participant safety during both events.
