San Juan Escribe literary contest deadline extended to August 31
The Editorial Fund of the San Juan Chamber of Deputies has extended the submission deadline for the 2026 edition of the ‘San Juan Escribe – Premio Jorge Leonidas Escudero’ literary contest until August 31.
The competition is open to writers from San Juan or residents of the province, featuring free participation and themes of free choice. The contest is divided into two main sections: ‘Escritores Mayores’ (for participants aged 18 and older) and ‘Escritores Menores’ (for youth aged 10 to 17).
Categories for older writers include Short Story, Poetry, Novel, and the newly introduced Illustrated Literature, which covers formats such as comics, picture books, and illustrated narratives. The youth section includes ‘Revelación Juvenil Individual’ and ‘Revelación Escolar’. All submitted works must be original, unpublished, and submitted under a pseudonym to ensure impartiality.
