San Juan families march to demand justice for two murder victims

Families of Uriel Ríos and Martín Quinteros Olmos marched through central San Juan to demand justice following the recent deaths of the two young men.

Uriel Ríos, 17, was killed during a Student Day celebration in Pocito after a fight involving his twin brother. The family is seeking to have the case classified as ‘Homicidio Simple’ (Simple Homicide) rather than ‘Homicidio en Riña’ (Homicide in a Brawl) to ensure a more significant sentence. They believe an adult was involved, citing video evidence of a male with blood on his clothing.

Martín Quinteros Olmos, 19, was shot and killed on September 14 in Chimbas. While initial reports suggested hooded men entered the home, the victim's family believes the attack was motivated by jealousy and points toward a 16-year-old female who is currently in state custody.
