San Juan Government and UCCuyo partner for new dentistry program

The Government of San Juan and the Universidad Católica de Cuyo (UCCuyo) have signed a collaboration agreement to support the launch of a new Dentistry degree program. The program is scheduled to begin in 2027.

Under the agreement, UCCuyo students will be able to conduct mandatory clinical, professional, and final practical training within the province's public health system. This collaboration aims to strengthen the practical training of future professionals and deepen the link between the university and public health services.

Practical training will take place in various locations, including the Dentistry and Emergency services at the Hospital Dr. Marcial V. Quiroga, Primary Health Care Centers (CAPS), the Provincial Oral Health Program, pediatric dentistry services, schools, and regional hospitals in the interior of the province. Students will work under the supervision of professors and professional dentists to complement their theoretical studies with hands-on experience.
