San Juan Governor meets German Honorary Consul to discuss mining cooperation

San Juan Governor Marcelo Orrego met with Andreas Vollmer, the Honorary Consul of Germany for the Nuevo Cuyo region, for a protocol visit to discuss provincial development and bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, which included Government Minister Laura Palma, discussions focused on strengthening ties between San Juan and Germany. Vollmer highlighted German interest in the province's mining sector, specifically mentioning recent discussions with German companies regarding a potential proposal for a mining train.

Vollmer noted the long-standing relationship between Germany and the Cuyo region, which has maintained representation for 139 years, and expressed a commitment to deepening these historical connections.
