San Juan launches free winter cultural program for families

The municipality of San Juan city is running a free "Vacaciones de Invierno" agenda with weekend events on July 11‑12, including a recycling workshop and a family‑focused Plaza y Arte showcase at the Centro Cultural Estación San Martín. Additional activities such as painting, macramé and special performances will continue at various city locations throughout the week.

The provincial Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports is also offering a free "Vacas en la Biblio" series in public libraries from July 7‑14. The program features movie screenings, popcorn, and workshops in origami, comic‑making, photobordado and drawing at multiple library sites. Officials noted a significant delay in funding for popular libraries, raising concerns about possible resource cuts.
