San Juan launches Mi DNI Joven program for student identity updates
The Ministry of Government in San Juan, Argentina, has launched ‘Mi DNI Joven’, a program designed to facilitate the renewal of national identity documents (DNI) for secondary school students. Through mobile operations in schools, the initiative targets students aged 14 to 18 to ensure they have updated identification.
Executed by the Civil Registry with support from the Ministry of Education, the program aims to overcome economic, administrative, and transportation barriers that often prevent families from completing these mandatory updates. Minister of Government Laura Palma noted that providing the service for free directly at schools assists families by saving them time and expenses while ensuring young citizens can exercise their fundamental rights.
