San Juan motorcyclist Brisa Gallardo dies after vehicle collision
Brisa Gallardo, a 20-year-old motorcyclist from Chimbas, has died following a violent traffic accident in San Juan. She passed away at Hospital Rawson on Monday night after suffering brain death due to severe trauma.
The incident occurred on Friday, August 21, at approximately 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Avenida Ignacio de la Roza and Catamarca Street. Gallardo was riding a Gilera 150 cc motorcycle when she was struck by a Peugeot 3008 SUV driven by Mateo Joaquín Argüello Medawar.
The Special Crimes Investigation Unit (UFI Delitos Especiales) is currently investigating the circumstances of the collision. Authorities are considering recategorizing the case from serious injury to involuntary manslaughter due to reckless driving, pending the results of forensic reports and an autopsy.
