San Juan Peronism begins maneuvering for 2027 elections
Political maneuvering for the 2027 governorship in San Juan has commenced within the local Justicialist Party (PJ). National Deputy Cristian Andino and the President of the Rivadavia Board, Facundo Perrone, have begun provincial tours to establish their presence for the upcoming election cycle.
Andino, the former mayor of San Martín, has secured support from a group of mayors including Domínguez, Banega, Carbajal, Castro, Riveros, Jalife, and Becerra. His strategy involves targeting districts such as Capital and Rivadavia, which were won by the Orreguismo party in 2023.
Perrone, who is aligned with former governor José Luis Gioja, has expanded his activities beyond Rivadavia into Jáchal. His recent engagements include meetings with the Rural Assembly, the National University of San Juan delegation, and local agricultural cooperatives.
