San Juan police detain three minors over false school bomb threat
Three 15-year-old adolescents were detained following a false bomb threat at Colegio Santa María Auxiliadora in San Juan. The threat prompted an immediate emergency protocol, leading to the evacuation of all students, teachers, and staff by local police.
Specialists from the Explosives Brigade and the Central Fire Department conducted a thorough search of the premises, which ultimately confirmed that no explosives were present. Investigations by the Central Radio-Electric Command determined that the 911 call originated from the Esteban Echeverría School.
The school director confirmed the call was made as a prank. Authorities have seized the suspects' mobile phones for forensic analysis. The case has been formally charged as public intimidation under Article 211 of the Penal Code, and the minors have been transferred to the Admission and Derivation Center (CAD) to remain at the disposal of the juvenile court.
