San Juan strengthens police force with new motorcycles and technology

The government of San Juan, led by Governor Marcelo Orrego, has implemented a new security strategy to strengthen the provincial police force through equipment upgrades and specialized training.

As part of this initiative, 36 new motorcycles have been added to the fleet. The vehicles, which include Honda XR 300 cc, Voge 525 DSX, and Voge 900 DSX models, are specifically adapted for police service with emergency lighting, sirens, and digital controls. These units will be distributed between the D7 Directorate, focused on traffic control, and the D3 Directorate, responsible for operational deployments.

In addition to the new vehicles, the province is investing in technological training and tools. This includes the use of virtual reality for training 120 officers and the implementation of Axon Body Cams, which provide Full HD video, night vision, and secure evidence storage. The training also covers the use of Deim Taser 7 electronic devices to enhance professional response capabilities.
