San Juan Texhuacan pyrotechnics explosion injures 15 people

A pyrotechnics explosion during a religious celebration in the community of Xochititla, located in the municipality of San Juan Texhuacan, Veracruz, left 15 people injured on Friday night.

The incident occurred around 8:20 PM at the parish atrium. According to the Municipal Civil Protection Coordination, the victims included both adults and minors. Two individuals remained hospitalized for observation, while the others were discharged after being treated for minor injuries.

Local authorities and emergency services responded to the scene to provide first aid and coordinate medical transfers. The event has highlighted ongoing safety concerns regarding the use of fireworks during traditional patron saint festivals in the Altas Montañas region.
