San Leone stabbing investigation expands with fourth suspect
Police in San Leone, Sicily, have identified a fourth person under investigation in the August 1‑2 stabbing of a minor. The individual, who first called emergency services, is also accused of providing false statements to investigators. The victim, a teenager, suffered eight knife wounds to the chest, back and arm, while a 20‑year‑old was injured in the knee. A 26‑year‑old man, already in custody, faces charges of attempted homicide, assault and illegal possession of a weapon.
Investigators are reviewing extensive CCTV footage to locate additional participants in the brawl that led to the attacks. Judge Nicoletta Sciarratta declined to confirm the arrest, citing insufficient evidence of an imminent crime, and ordered the main suspect to remain in detention pending further proceedings.
