San Lorenzo dismisses head coach Néstor Gorosito

Néstor ‘Pipo’ Gorosito has left his position as head coach of San Lorenzo following a 1-0 defeat against Instituto de Córdoba. The decision was made by the club's Board of Directors, led by Marcelo Culotta, during a meeting held prior to the team's scheduled practice.

Gorosito’s tenure was marked by poor results, securing only seven points in the local championship with two wins, one draw, and four losses. His departure follows a period of institutional crisis and a string of coaching changes in 2026, which have already included Damián Ayude and Gustavo Álvarez. Additional setbacks included an early exit from the Copa Argentina against Deportivo Riestra and a home loss to Huracán.

Walter Perazzo, who had previously assisted with training sessions, will take charge of the team's upcoming practices. Before his dismissal, Gorosito had noted that the squad's primary deficiency was a lack of offensive precision and clarity in finishing plays.
