San Lorenzo faces USD 650,000 in new legal embargos

San Lorenzo has faced three separate legal embargos totaling more than USD 650,000 due to debts inherited from previous administrations. The current leadership, headed by Marcelo Culotta, is managing these liabilities alongside a pre-existing debt exceeding USD 60 million.

The specific embargos involve:

• Former player Gonzalo Maroni: A claim for USD 261,250 plus USD 83,000 in legal fees and execution costs, stemming from his 2022 arrival. • Representatives of brothers Bruno and Mauro Pittón: A retention of USD 175,000 plus USD 52,500 in interest and costs related to their 2019 arrival. • Independiente de Villa del Rosario: An embargo regarding training rights for player Nicolás Reniero following his 2019 transfer to Racing de Avellaneda.

To manage the crisis, the current administration stated that lawyers representing the club will not receive remuneration, a departure from the practices of previous management teams.
