San Lorenzo signs Facundo Farías from Estudiantes

San Lorenzo has announced the signing of offensive midfielder Facundo Farías as their seventh reinforcement for the 2026 Torneo Clausura. The 24-year-old arrives on a one-year loan from Estudiantes de La Plata with no upfront fee and an option to purchase 80% of his rights for USD 3,000,000. Under the agreement, Estudiantes will cover a portion of the player's salary.

While the club has officially presented Farías alongside president Marcelo Culotta, reports indicate that final administrative details regarding salary distribution between the two clubs caused temporary delays in his integration into training. The negotiation involved discussions over whether San Lorenzo would cover 50% or 60% of the player's wages.

Farías joins a squad managed by Néstor Gorosito, who specifically requested the player's inclusion. This move follows the departure of goalkeeper Orlando Gill to Lille in France for USD 4,650,000.
