San Luis authorities rescue two dogs from animal cruelty

Authorities in San Luis, Argentina, rescued two mixed-breed dogs from a residence in the southern part of the city following reports of animal cruelty. The operation was conducted by officers from the 23rd Precinct, the Canes Alfa division, and veterinary specialists from the General Directorate of Special Units.

The rescue followed a judicial order issued by Guarantee Judge Luciana Banó. Upon inspection, officials found the dogs tied with wires and tight ropes that restricted their movement. Veterinarian Celeste Olivero noted that the animals showed signs of poor physical condition, including malnutrition, skin issues, and wounds on their necks caused by restrictive collars. The dogs also had limited access to water and were suffering from tick infestations.
