San Luis celebrates 432nd anniversary with religious and cultural festivities

The city of San Luis is celebrating its 432nd anniversary with a series of religious, cultural, and traditional events. The festivities include a gala featuring approximately 140 artists, including music, dance, and audiovisual performances, with special tributes to educators and rural education.

Central to the celebrations is the feast of the patron saint, San Luis Rey de Francia. The official agenda includes the raising of the national flag, a Te Deum service at the Cathedral, and a traditional procession where the saint's image is carried through the city streets. Additionally, a cultural walk featuring traditional music and dance by the La Sajuriana ballet will connect various emblematic points of the city.

In a related religious tradition, a 39th horseback pilgrimage has commenced from Itatí toward San Luis del Palmar. This pilgrimage serves as an act of reciprocity between the two communities, following a long-standing tradition of inter-town religious visits.
