San Luis councilors allege municipal fund misuse in Argentina
In the Argentine province of San Luis, councilor José María Ortiz Villalba of the Partido Justicialista publicly accused the local deliberative council of mismanaging nearly 15 million pesos, alleging insufficient documentation for a series of large cheques and possible nepotism involving council officials.
Separately, a bloc of PJ councilors filed a criminal complaint against Laura Sánchez, president of the San Luis council, alleging that municipal funds were used to pay the electricity bill of a private sports facility. The complaint cites monthly invoices of between $500,000 and $700,000 and requests urgent judicial intervention to halt the alleged misuse.
