San Luis de Quillota nears promotion to Chilean Primera División

San Luis de Quillota is on the verge of securing promotion to Chile's Primera División after an eight-year absence. Led by manager Humberto Suazo, the team currently holds a two-point lead over Cobreloa in the Primera B standings.

San Luis could clinch the title this Saturday if they defeat Deportes Recoleta and Cobreloa fails to win their match in Talca. The club is preparing for a historic match at the Estadio Lucio Fariña Fernández and has requested an increased capacity of 7,000 spectators for the event.

Despite the upcoming decisive fixture, Suazo has maintained a cautious approach, stating, “we haven't won anything yet.” The team faces some roster challenges, as Sebastián Parada is suspended and players Luis Muñoz and Martín Carreño are dealing with physical issues.
