San Luis Obispo County seeks input on $3 million in federal funding
San Luis Obispo County is seeking public feedback to guide the allocation of approximately $3 million in federal funding for community development and housing projects. Through the 2027 Community Development Needs Assessment, the county aims to identify priorities for its 2025–2029 U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Consolidated Plan.
Targeted areas for investment include affordable rental, single-family, and senior housing, as well as public services such as mental health and homeless services. The plan also covers public infrastructure improvements, including water, sewer, sidewalks, and high-speed internet, alongside housing services like rental assistance and emergency shelters.
