San Luis Potosí accountants to host regional finance forum

The Colegio de Contadores Públicos de San Luis Potosí has announced the Regional Forum of Companies and Finance, scheduled for September 18 and 19. The event will be held in both in-person and virtual formats.

Guadalupe Izanami Viera Bustos, president of the Colegio de Contadores de San Luis Potosí, noted that approximately 90% of new businesses fail to survive their first year of operation. She identified a lack of financial knowledge as a primary cause for these closures, citing instances where entrepreneurs fail to account for unexpected operational expenses. The forum aims to provide training for accountants, students, entrepreneurs, and business owners. Participation costs 3,000 pesos for members, 3,500 pesos for non-members, and 1,000 pesos for students.
