San Luis Potosí allocates 6.4 million pesos to equip Center for Justice for Women

The Center for Justice for Women (CJM) in San Luis Potosí will receive a total of 6,428,519 pesos in 2026 to upgrade its infrastructure and operational capacity. Funding comes from a federal contribution of 1,301,333 pesos and a state allocation of 5,127,185 pesos.

The investment will purchase desktop and laptop computers, printers, energy regulators, servers, internet‑connectivity equipment, a projector, office furniture, and a four‑door vehicle valued at about 490,000 pesos. The vehicle will be used to transport women, children and adolescents to court, medical appointments, shelters and other emergency services. All acquisitions must be completed by December 31, 2026, and the new equipment will support the center’s legal, psychological, social work and outreach services, which assisted 2,911 women with 7,772 interventions in 2025.

The upgrades also aim to improve storage and backup of sensitive data such as protection orders and case files, enhancing the center’s ability to protect victims of gender‑based violence.
