San Luis Potosí approves new motorcycle safety regulations
The San Luis Potosí State Congress has approved a reform to the State Transit Law aimed at improving safety for motorcycle and scooter riders. The measure was proposed by Deputy Brisseire Sánchez López to reduce road accident risks.
Under the new regulations, individuals operating motorcycles or scooters must keep their lights on at all times while driving. Additionally, riders are required to use luminous or reflective attachments to enhance their visibility and that of their vehicles, particularly in low-light conditions. The reform aligns with international safety standards, including the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic.
