San Luis Potosí approves tourism law reform

The Tourism Promotion Commission of the LXIV Legislature in San Luis Potosí has approved a reform to Article 67 of the State Tourism Law. The initiative, promoted by Deputy María Aranzazu Puente Bustindui, aims to harmonize state legislation with the General Tourism Law.

The reform explicitly incorporates the obligation for tourism service providers to register with the National Tourism Registry. This change is intended to create consistency between state and federal regulations, providing greater clarity for those in the tourism sector and preventing the duplication of requirements or procedures.

Following its approval by the Commission, the proposal will be sent to the State Congress Plenary for a final vote.
