San Luis Potosí begins drafting 2027 expenditure budget

The Secretariat of Finance (Sefin) of San Luis Potosí has begun integrating the 2027 Expenditure Budget. This will be the final budget of Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona’s administration.

Sefin head Ariana García Vidal has instructed administrative heads to develop realistic and responsible preliminary projects that do not compromise the state's financial capacity. The budget proposal aims to maintain current programs and priorities while establishing a solid financial foundation for the upcoming change in administration.

The 2027 budget ceiling is expected to be equivalent to the amount authorized by the State Congress for 2026. Consequently, expenditure executors are required to reduce operating costs and prepare for the transition of government.
