San Luis Potosí boosts formal employment and urges political civility ahead of 2027 elections

The state government of San Luis Potosí held two large employment fairs in Ciudad Valles and Tampacán, offering more than 1,100 formal job vacancies across professional, technical, administrative and operative positions. The events, promoted by Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona and the state labor ministry, aimed to connect local companies with job seekers and improve economic inclusion in the Huasteca region.

Separately, business leaders in the state, represented by Imelda Elizalde Martínez of CANACINTRA, called for restraint and dialogue in the lead‑up to the 2027 elections. They warned against speculation and premature confrontations, emphasizing that a stable political environment is essential for continued investment, employment growth and long‑term development in San Luis Potosí.
