San Luis Potosí bridge project awaits bidding approval
The construction of a new overpass in San Luis Potosí at the intersection of Fray Diego de la Magdalena and Hernán Cortés is currently facing delays in the bidding process. Eustorgio Chávez Garza, the Director of Public Works, stated that the project, which requires an investment of approximately 280 million pesos, is awaiting the review and approval of the bidding terms by the State Comptroller General (CGE).
Chávez Garza noted that the municipal government cannot proceed with the call for tenders until the CGE releases the bases. Regarding environmental concerns, officials stated that the current project design does not anticipate the removal of trees or shrubs, though adjustments to public lighting or medium-voltage lines may be necessary. The municipality is also coordinating with various agencies to manage potential interference with gas, electricity, telephony, and railway infrastructure.
