San Luis Potosí Commerce Chamber elects new president and holds business forum

Octavio de la Torre, president of CONCANACO‑SERVYTUR México, met in San Luis Potosí with former Confederation leaders and state business chambers to discuss challenges in commerce, services and tourism. The gathering reinforced the “Ruta por la Prosperidad” initiative and concluded with the swearing‑in of the 2026‑2027 council of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism of San Luis Potosí. In a related ceremony, Mauricio Mahbub Tamez assumed the presidency of the chamber, outlining a five‑point agenda that includes digitalisation, security, training, collaboration with government and a youth entrepreneurship program called “San Luis Emprende.” Mahbub highlighted the sector’s role in generating daily employment, while de la Torre emphasized, “Prosperity is not decreed; it is built day by day, business with business, family with family.”
