San Luis Potosí Congress approves labor transparency reforms

The Economic and Social Development Commission of the San Luis Potosí State Congress has approved a reform to the Law for Sustainable Economic Development and Competitiveness. The initiative aims to strengthen labor transparency to promote equitable hiring conditions and reduce the gender pay gap.

Proposed by Deputy Ma. Sara Rocha Medina, the reform requires job offers to include clear and precise information regarding working conditions and salary ranges. This measure is intended to ensure individuals are aware of expected compensation from the start of the recruitment process.

Deputy Luis Emilio Rosas Montiel, president of the commission, stated that the reforms seek to integrate a gender perspective into the General Economic Development Program. Additionally, the initiative aims to foster productive and technological projects linked to the circular and regenerative economy, while promoting environmental restoration and climate resilience.
