San Luis Potosí deputy proposes security protocols for social media sales

Deputy Brisseire Sánchez López has introduced an initiative in San Luis Potosí to amend Article 17 of the State Public Security System Law. The proposal aims to establish security protocols for buying and selling goods between individuals via social media, digital platforms, and technological applications.

The initiative requests that municipal governments design, implement, and disseminate safety recommendations, particularly for transactions requiring in-person meetings between strangers. To mitigate risks such as identity theft or meetings in isolated areas, the proposal encourages conducting these encounters in secure, public locations with surveillance.
