San Luis Potosí expands mobile training program to boost employment
The state government of San Luis Potosí, through the Institute of Training for Work (ICAT), will operate a mobile training unit in the central zone during June and July 2026. The unit will visit municipalities such as Armadillo de los Infante, Cerro de San Pedro, Santa María del Río, Tierra Nueva, Villa de Arriaga, Villa de Reyes, Villa de Zaragoza and Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, offering courses aimed at improving labor skills, encouraging self‑employment and fostering entrepreneurship.
Courses include nail application, pedicura, air‑conditioning installation and maintenance, pastry making and food preparation, among others. The initiative is part of Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona’s broader strategy to increase access to quality education, strengthen the regional economy and position San Luis Potosí as a model of productive inclusion.
