San Luis Potosí expands artisan pavilion and upgrades Palenque for Fenapo 2026
Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona announced that the San Luis Potosí State government will enlarge the artisan pavilion at the Feria Nacional Potosina (Fenapo) 2026. More than 600 artisans from the state's four regions will be allocated 260 exhibition spaces covering pottery, textiles, leatherwork, jewelry, traditional medicine, coffee, honey, mezcal and other products. The pavilion aims to surpass the previous edition’s sales of over 12 million pesos and to attract an estimated 450 000 visitors.
The governor also revealed a comprehensive modernization of the Palenque fairground for the 2026 edition. Upgrades include renovated restrooms, a modern acoustic system, permanent new screens, improved sanitary facilities, new gastronomic areas and additional communal zones. The improvements are intended to enhance comfort, accessibility and safety for visitors, stimulate tourism and generate economic opportunities for local producers and service sectors.
